Neck knife made from O1 High Carbon Steel and oiled mango root handle scales.
Neck knife measuring 178 mm overall. Blade length 88 mm. 3mm at spine. Blade hardness 58Rhc.
Neck knife resigned to be carried on a cord around ones neck so that it is always to hand and is less likely to be lost. Drop point blade for utility with O1 steel for edge holding performance and ease of maintanance. I recommend that this blade is dried and oiled after use to protect against rust and staining.
Handle made from Wild Mango root selected for its natural warm feeling in hand, its texture giving a grippy feeling and roots ability to resist expansion and contraction with change of environment conditions.
The sheath is handmade from shoulder butt leather, english tan in colour, double stitched with linen waxed thread for duribility and treated with beeswax based wax to nourish and protect the leather. The beauty of this sheath is that it will age and evolve in colour with use. I recommend that in order to care of the sheath that it is given a periodic coating with a leather nourishing product to nourish and care for the leather.
